Founders

 

In 1819 an English School (Methodist High School) was established at the Methodist Mission House in Trincomalee.In 1921 the school with further facilities continued to function in the same place.During the period 1821-1823 three schools were run by the Methodist Mission under the leadership of Robert Haver (Founder).In the 1856 during the leadership of John Walton this school was shifted to an adjoining compound and a separate building was put up.This is the location where the school is now.In 1859 the school was named as Methodist Girls' School.
